In our classroom we spend a good amount of time working together at the "carpet". Every morning we create a momentum for the day beginning at the carpet. This is a vital part of our learning. There are so many activities that foster academic and social/emotional growth simply by sitting together. Since our school is located in Montana we have a vast temperature range. Without having a large carpeted area it is very cold on the floor in the winter as our temperature outside is often below zero and we have an old boiler system that is not the best.

About my class
