The fact that each child will have their own subscription to the Scholastic Junior Magazine will allow all of my students to have access to a wide range of text. This will be a fun way for students to be exposed to non-fiction, fiction, plays, poems, and debates. Student will be able to write their own opinion papers and informational essays as well as reinforce their grammar with the short practices provided by the magazine. This exposure to text will help prepare students for our state test as well as expose students to a fun way to develop their love for reading!
