First grade these days is quite different from 10 or 20 years ago. The curriculum is even more rigorous now, so developing a solid foundation in reading and writing is critical for their academic future! The key to making these little ones successful in first grade is to make learning engaging and fun. This requires materials and activities that grab their attention with meaningful learning experiences. The Hokki stools and Bouncy Chair Bands will give them an outlet for that youthful energy. Toobaloos will help them build fluency as they listen to themselves read. The Alphabet Stampers, Play Doh, and Phonic Cubes are tactile ways to practice spelling and enrich vocabulary. The Giant Classroom Timer keeps them focused and helps with speedy transitions. The Store-It-All Rotating Caddies will keep my little ones organized with supplies at the ready! The various literacy materials will provide hands-on learning for young readers and writers and inspire them to be life-long learners!
