My crew of amazing scholars would benefit greatly from these engaging, easy to use reading and writing centers. These students would be able to improve their word knowledge which would give them much needed support in their reading and writing. During my literacy block there is 20 minutes of word study time where students are engaged in a variety of activities to support their phonemic awareness and word attack strategies. This helps them to be stronger, readers, writers, and more effective learners. Access to engaging activities that allow them to practice these skills are foundational to their learning during this time. These activities support a lifelong love of language and learning language.
