I teach English at an Baltimore high school with an International Baccalaureate program that focuses on preparing students from all backgrounds to succeed in college. My goal is to prepare all of my tenth-grade students for the rigorous International Baccalaureate courses offered to juniors and seniors and to ensure that my seniors perform well enough on their IB examinations to receive college credit. Even more importantly, I want students to walk out of my classroom with a deep love of and appreciation for writing and for literature.

About my class
