My school is in a growing community with total enrollment in Kindergarten through 5th grade of a little over 600 students. The town's population is approximately 66,881, with 16 elementary schools in the district. With more than 75% of our students being minority and approximately 83% of our students receiving free and reduced lunches we are a highly diverse population. I facilitate the gifted and talented program in the school. I have 35 students in the 2nd through 5th grade "send out" program and provide enrichment to 200 students in kindergarten and first grade. I teach high achieving students with a wide range of interests. More than half of the students are English as Second Language students. My students' ages range from 7 to 11 years old.
