My students will learn to identify and match uppercase letters with lowercase letters by using a lowercase letter key to unlock the matching uppercase letter padlock. As they are able to match the letters and unlock the locks, their confidence will increase and they will look forward to the next level of learning to read! My students will learn to count and add/subtract using the double-nine dominoes-so much more fun than traditional worksheets and can be done individually or with partners. My students love to learn using anything they can get their hands on and these are definitely hands-on activities!
