My second year health science students are preparing for CPR and First Aid certification. This project will allow my students to refer to the workbooks as they are practicing their skills to become certified CPR providers and certified First Aid providers. Achieving these certifications may enable them to one day actually save a life. My students plan to enter a variety of health care fields in both health technology and academic programs with goals of becoming doctors, nurses, laboratory and radiology technologists, pharmacists, dentists, biomedical engineers, etc. Having this training in high school gives them a jump-start on exciting and worthwhile health service professions.

About my class
