Everyone, staff included, is excited about having a dryer. We found out that several of the students enjoy pushing and rotating buttons and listening to the dryer while it is on. The dryer serves as a fantastic job training tool and also teaches when it is appropriate to turn on certain appliances. It has been thrilling to see the transformation in those students.\r\nOur long-term goal is to run a towel washing and drying service once a week to hone these skills and, in turn, equip our students with much-needed job skills for their visual resumes. Many people underestimate our students' ability to learn job skills, so they do not expect them to hold a job upon graduation.
