Exposing students to money and the decision making process with finances is a life-long skill designed to build confidence and savviness throughout their lives. My goal is to have students develop an understanding of budgets and savings and use these financial literacy skills to use in real life situations. With these resources, our students will be able to identify coins, understand percents, discounts based on percents, and using percents to find sales tax. Students will also be able to make a budget based on an income and set aside money for each area of need in their scenarios. Lastly, students will be able able to comprehend the need for saving and opening a savings account.

About my class
