My students have discussed feeling disadvantaged against more privileged teams simply from a stand point of outdated and extremely used equipment. Many of them are unable to provide their own equipment, so use of new, quality equipment would greatly benefit their mental game. The students would be proud to roll these new bags and bats onto the field and immediately feel more confident in facing teams that simply look "new and fresh." Student-athletes are leaders on campus and being able to lead on the field is equally as important. Having quality equipment and supplies will just enable my athletes that much more!
