I am requesting books to build the foundation to a beautiful space in my classroom. My library will be a place where traveling, exploring and imagining will take place! Students will immerse themselves in the joy and wonder that takes place when you pick up a book. First grade is a world of exploration and discovery through rich literature and diverse books. By engaging in interesting and meaningful books, students will not only learn to read but will love to read. By the end of first grade, students must "read to learn." That transition will be made possible by their own hard work and by having books in which they can immerse themselves in.
