Being an ESL teacher I know there will be students in my class who may be reluctant to share what they are thinking in a large or small group situation. English Language Learners don't always have the right words to explain what they are thinking. I want to make sure everyone in my classroom has a safe and risk free environment . Having a class set of small dry erase boards would be one tool to achieve that goal. Every student has something to say. They may just be afraid to say it. Individual response boards provide a safe avenue for all children to respond without the fear of being wrong or being laughed at. These great tools are also a great way for the teacher to see who is "getting it" and who needs more support.
