These materials for a class garden will give my students opportunities for positive group social interactions, which I will use as an extension of my social skills lessons. It will also provide many hands on lessons for our science unit on plants and give me an opportunity to teach them about healthy eating and sustainability. My students’ own growth is many times hard for them to see through all of their difficulties but planting and growing their own vegetables will give them a much needed sense of pride and accomplishment at school. The Earthbox Growing Stand, Earthbox Ready to Grow Kit and Veggie Kit will enable my students to best learn about healthy living, science, and social skills!
