The use of whiteboards and dry erase markers in the classroom allows students to collaborate and have frequent feedback while solving problems. Students will enjoy their learning experience more as they collaborate with their peers to solve problems. Students find this form of formative assessment fun and challenging and feedback is immediate. Students will be placed in small groups. The idea is to give each student a whiteboard and dry erase markers to work on solving problems within a given amount of time. When time is up they take turns sharing out and receive immediate clarification. It also precedes larger presentations so students become more comfortable with presenting in front of others.
