These authors will make a tremendous difference in our students. They will help spark a light in our students to want to read and write. This will help our combined efforts and talents to ensure all students are on grade level or above in reading. These author visits will engage our students by making the writing process, books and the authors themselves accessible and real to our students. Students will be able to identify with the authors and learn the struggles and joys of the writing and publication because they heard it directly from the author. Authors become real to students, and open up the relationships one can build with the books they read.

About my class
