I have been teaching kindergarten for eight years. I love working with students each day! In my school, we have a high population of low-income families coming from a number of different cultural backgrounds. I try to build in many opportunities for community building and literacy activities into our daily routine to provide a positive learning environment for all students, regardless of their backgrounds. We have a full day in kindergarten including a mixture of small group and whole group literacy instruction, math, and science/social studies. Our students enjoy our community building time as we start our day together focusing on calendar concepts, reading stories, singing, etc. Thank you for your support to our classroom!
