I am requesting these supplies to create several projects with my students. We will create plaster faces inspired by Mexican coconut art, metal foil relief inspired by African masks, colorful giant flower creations inspired by Georgia O'Keefe with oil pastels and beautiful landscapes in the style of Vincent Van Gogh using the water soluble crayons! These projects will really spark my students imagination and creativity! Giving students access to a great art education develops creative employees of the future. Employers are looking for people who are creative and have original ideas. Kids are losing the ability to use their imagination! It is important that students learn all aspects of art. Art history, art criticism as well as art appreciation to develop this.
