My district is using an interactive learning program called ALEKS. ALEKS teaches kids at their math level. The students that are below grade level, are provided instruction to bridge that knowledge gap, and get them back on grade level. The kids at grade level are pushed to be successful through their grade. Finally, the kids above grade level, are pushed to be successful as well. Kids who are using ALEKS, have shown tremendous growth. These tablets will provide more opportunities for my students in my classroom to be successful in mathematics. My school has WIFI access, but not enough devices to go around.
