It would be an incredible blessing to provide seating options that allow for movement. My students learn differently, due to a variety of learning disabilities including ADHD. They are incredible children. They are motivated and hardworking. Often, they have to work twice as hard as their peers, to make the same gains. Rather than focusing their energy on trying to sit still and conform to traditional educational expectations, I would love to provide a classroom environment in which movement is encouraged and embraced. If I can minimize the effort they expend on maintaining their attention, they will be able to expend that energy on learning.
