I am requesting an assortment of second-grade reading level books for my classroom. My students have nearly finished reading all of the books on my classroom bookshelf and it desperately needs to be replenished with new reading material. The books I have chosen are from a variety of authors and focus on many different themes and stories, which I feel will be very beneficial to their learning of vocabulary and reading comprehension. Having a wide variety of books available will allow my students to choose freely what they would like to read and will also show them the different ranges of writing-style that an author can have. The books I have chosen are all very popular reading choices for second-graders and can help students gain experience in reading at their appropriate level. These books also focus on showing students different points-of-view and how passage-structure works. I would like to sincerely thank everyone that donates to my classroom book fund and I am very excited to have some new material available for my students to jump into!
