Each year I add to my classroom library. Diverse books, award winning books, and books with different characters that both girls and boys can relate to. I look for books with rich themes and life lessons. The books I have added to this project will be fantastic additions to our read aloud collection. Students will use the personal book bags to carry their "just right" books, tools and post-its to and from school. This will ensure they have the materials needed to participate in partner, group and conference discussions. They will also have a place to keep their writers notebook, colored pens, and other writing tools. Flexible seating is something I would like to have in my classroom one day. These few options will provide my readers and writers an alternative to their desk. I look forward to these additions, and can't wait to see what the future of our classroom will look like!
