The backpack is filled with a multitude of essential learning materials that will desperately be needed for remote learning. The backpack even has a three month calendar filled with various activities; this will come in handy since the children will be spending so much more time at home. This will provide the children with something else to do aside from what we will be teaching from our daily lesson plans. Because I teach in a high poverty area, my parents are financially unable to provide their children with many learning materials. I also know that children take pride in having something that they can call their own. So by providing them with a backpack this is also teach them to be responsible and to take pride and ownership with their belongings. Remote learning is difficult enough and by not having the necessary materials at home there is no way for a student to be successful.
