Our students love to try and experiment with new things. Most of the time when kids do art, they use crayons because they are cheap and available. I want my students to be able to explore and learn more about the different forms of art through a plethora of mediums. The integration of core standards in art helps them dig deeper while learning the basic concepts of art. First and foremost is to give all students a chance to try out different mediums like tempera paint, markers, and oil pastels. This will enhance the art room environment as well as the classroom environment. They become excited to experiment which sparks creativity.
