In my three classes, I have many special needs students. These students are not pulled out, but we have an aide part of the time they are in my room. My goal is to provide them with adequate support so that they may succeed in my classroom. In order to give my students the least restrictive environment possible, I have focused my project on items that provide just that. Students benefit from using chair discs during learning that may involve sitting for periods of time. These discs help the fidgeters move around while being non-distracting to students around them. The bed risers will raise the desks to tending height for the students who have trouble sitting and need to stand up throughout the class period. The bands will be put around the front of desks for students to use as a fidget for their feet to keep them moving if necessary.
