Our school-wide theme this year is courage. The Harry Potter series carries this theme throughout all 7 books. Many of my students are reluctant to read because they feel they are not "good readers". We will be reading this book together as a whole class. Some will be able to read independently, some will need my assistance at times, and those who struggle will be able to follow along with the audio CD. This book and the activities I have created will be accessible for all of my students. I want every student to feel like a "good reader" with this group project. It is my hope that students will thoroughly enjoy this magical book(Sorcerer's Stone) and will be inspired to read the entire series and to find reading enjoyable instead of something that is just done for school.
