Scholastic News and Science Spin will be used in our classroom to help bring other subject areas such as current events and hot science topics into our reading block. This is a great way to integrate several subjects into our day. Students will see the real world through these articles and come home with information to strike up a conversation at the dinner table! Scholastic has made this program complete with an online portion to include short engaging videos, as well as comprehension sheets and assessments. Articles will be used in small group and provided in Spanish for English Language Learners. Students will have the opportunity to take the articles home and share with siblings and parents and lead families into conversations about what's happening in our world today.
