We are not talking about flag football or touch football, we are talking about full-on tackle football. If student-athletes are going to play this game they will need to protect the areas that are getting hit the hardest, including the thighs, hips, and knees. The CMS football program needs to replace several worn out and damaged thigh, knee, and hip pads, along with chin straps. When playing football, protective equipment is one of the most important things to keep every student-athlete safe. Protective gear also allows students to feel safe and compete at a high level.
