My project is to create a positive reading, learning environment in my classroom. My students need an area where they can go to open their world of reading by being in an environment that promotes calmness and brain based exploration. My students need a book nook that will allow their worlds to be expanded through all the knowledge that books can bring to one's imagination and minds. Our classroom theme is a dreamland and having a book nook helps my students to be able to follow their dreams. My students deserve to be able to follow their dreams and being exposed to an abundance of literature can help pave the pathway to success. No matter what my students want to be when they are older, the possibilities are endless when my students are given the tools and resources to make their dreams possible. Reading opens so many doors for students and having a reading nook can help create that positive learning environment for my future readers.
