Revere High School is a culturally diverse urban school. We have won numerous awards in education because of the wonderful leaders and teachers. However, fundraising is continually limited in a town with such a diverse population of recent immigrants. Our focus in the library this year is to promote reading to our struggling readers. Among many initiatives, our first is to find books that appeal to our students and are written at a level that is attainable. "Students can't learn from texts they can't read"(K Stover, et al.) and we hope to change that!
