Studies show the more a child reads, the better reader they will become. Improved reading leads itself to a multitude of other improvements as well, such as increased vocabulary, larger schema or background knowledge, a heightened ability to carry on conversation to name a few. I'd like to provide my students a few special places where they can just get comfy and read. The circle chairs and bean bag chair will be available for student use. The stools will be used at small group tables, in place of traditional chairs. There's just something magical about getting lost in a good book!
