I love teaching and I want to create an environment where my students will want to be. By helping me fund this project my students will be able to take charge of their own learning. Many kids learn in different ways. I would like to provide an environment that they can be comfortable in and want to learn. I researched flexible seating and found that it is such a great method to engage students. Being able to provide this in my classroom will help my students stay engaged and focus on learning. They will be able to be excited about learning and this will make for a better overall experience. To help in making my project a reality I selected different types of chairs for the kids to choose from. The wobble chair is for our kids that have difficulty staying still. The other comfy camp like chairs and bean bags add to the experience of being able to be comfortable to enrich learning. They become engage when they are immersed in their task. A high top table is also included for the times when they just need to stand to work. Creating options and not forcing them to be on the same spot empowers them.
