The digital era is not a thing of the past, and we need to embrace the advancement of human communication and use it to our advantage. Teachers need to be able to keep students up to date with technology. My goal is to help my students learn using a variety of strategies, including technology. iPads would be beneficial to allow students to find information regarding their Social Studies and ELA work. Being able to access the internet to research and find information to put together an essay would be beneficial for them. Given the fact that most of my students are from low-income families, some without access to internet let alone access to a computer, having iPads in class would be beneficial. With the iPads, students will be able to access the research necessary in the classroom without adding more stress to their lives. Seventh grade students will be required to write essays that include specific supporting detail
