When there is a large selection of reading books to choose from, students are more apt to want to read; especially if they get to choose the books. A large library with variety is key to inspire a desire to want to read especially in a foreign language. Students gravitate towards books that they read when they were younger in English and feel a sense of accomplishment being able to read them in Spanish. You can help bring them a diverse library, my Spanish students will have more choices for their daily reading time. Reading in any language helps increase a students vocabulary and fluency. They learn grammar and usage, just by doing something they enjoy...READING.
