They tell us that the country is failing to produce numbers sufficient enough to fulfill its economic potential of high tech innovators. We are now bringing in needed professionals from other countries. Supposedly, the causes stem from weaknesses in our schools, inadequate funding, and declining interest in research. Well, my students are interested in gaining information through Internet inquiry, and I am ready to fuel their passions! Our school has been impacted by the recent economical crisis. We have a large population of special needs students. Experts agree that students who participate in inquiry based learning perform better on tests and demonstrate greater cognition of concepts due to highly memorable, inquiry-based activities.
