Research proves that students are focused learn better. What better way to keep students focused is to keep them moving. Alternative seating has been proven to help students excel in their classroom. This year I have decided to ditch the boring old desks for tables, where the students will be able to collaborate as a team rather than always as an individual learner. Students will be able to earn incentives to sit on yoga balls, classroom stools, work from a bean bag chair - all things students love to do! My students need a strong family atmosphere where they are welcomed to in everyday and feel safe and comfortable. I am trying to create a classroom that is warm, exciting and a home to the students while they are away from their homes. These materials are going to help us collaborate as teams, learn to work together and help one another, stay focused, stay moving and keep us organized. Students who enjoy coming to school will do better in school and my desire is to provide an environment where every child wants to be and to do well. My kids may not have all the privileges in the world but when they come to school their classroom should be a place they are happy, safe and proud to be, that is my goal and desire for my children. Thank you for your help in helping me reach these goals I have for my kids. I love this job and would love to provide them with an amazing classroom this year. Thank you for your help! You will be rewarded with many pictures and the knowledge that you helped brighten the lives of some special children this school year and future school years!
