Donations to this project will help students to become more proficient readers of informational text. This type of text is common and greatly assessed in the third grade. I will use this resources not only for reading but also to promote written responses on the information that is being read. This will help with other academic assessments during the school year. Time for Kids is a superb magazine that has great informational text about the world and it's events. Students are able to increase their knowledge of everyday life, raise their testing scores, and increase their vocabulary through use of informational texts.
