These resources will promote the Nevada Academic Content Standards for seventh grade history. Specifically power and politics, identity, and respectful engagement with diverse people. My students love to have discussions about history and how it applies to current events. During COVID-19 Distance Learning, we weren't able to have in-class discussions. Being able to read this book as a class will allow us to have in-class discussions. The empathy my students demonstrate during these discussions is remarkable. We will be able to apply what happened in history to current events today.
