By providing my students with various seating options, they will be able to choose, and work, in an area that is best for their needs. Choices such as standing desks, stools, carpet squares, even a sofa, will be available for them to be successful in our 21st century learning environment! Research shows that students need movement to learn. In order to focus on academics, they need an outlet for stored energy. These seating options will provide that. Research also shows that tardies decreased due to students wanting to get to school on time to choose their seating option for the day!
