I am moving from kindergarten to third grade. As a book lover and mother of three girls, I do have books my third graders will enjoy, but my library is lacking in books that are current and that I think will appeal to boys. I want my students to love reading as much as I do and I want to provide a selection of books that will offer something for everyone. Students will enjoy reading both fiction and nonfiction books. Reading will not only transport the students to a new place or take them on an adventure, it also will expose them to new vocabulary and help with spelling along with developing better writing skills.

About my class
