Media centers have to entice students into our spaces. Our mission is to provide an aesthetically pleasing environment for student use in our media center. This is a space students us before school and during lunch. If they like it, they will come! Offering them "teen-friendly" spaces will contribute to increasing usage and hopefully encourage students to read. If they aren't reading, at least they are socializing, with face-to-face conversations, and NOT keeping their heads in their Chromebooks and other devices. In order for the media center to be the hub of the school, it must have students in it.
