If someone said you were emotionally disturbed would you start to believe it too? That is what I inherit each year working in a a self contained middle school classroom with 6th-8th grade students. All of the students have been diagnosed in elementary school and for some reason that I am still trying to figure out they never leave that classification. My job I believe is to impower the students in my class to have a positive image about themselves so that they can begin the process of learning. It is a rewarding job and I believe that I make difference to all of my students. Sometimes I learn more from them then they learn from me. I am very fortunate to work with this special population within the public school system
