Flexible seating will allow my students to take charge of their learning when completing their work both independently and in small groups. When students are working independently, they have the opportunity to seat any where in the room with their laptops or notebooks. Instead of seating at a table with ordinary chairs, these flexible seating options will allow students to get comfortable when they read, work online and complete assignments. The different seating options will allow students to have their own comfortable space that they might not get at home. Many of my students come from low-income households, where they share almost everything with their families. The exercise ball chairs will allow those students with extra energy to complete their assignments while releasing that energy and staying focused. When students have the opportunity to choose where they work and how they sit, they are more engaged and excited to learn.
