The children worked on hand strength, coordination, and early writing skills while having fun and staying engaged. The rug was brought into the afternoon when the PM class was present. There were ohhhhhs and ahhhhhs heard throughout the classroom. The students were jumping up and down with excitement. This morning when the AM class arrived for homeroom, they all made such positive comments about the rug. They were the first class to use the rug and commented on how soft it was. \r\n\r\nThank you so much! They are labeled by number and the students in need of headphones have started utilizing them. They are using them to work on the Amira reading program. We learned this is many ways, some of which are attached through pictures, and we all became better humans as a result of this type of learning experience. My seven year old students, began to internalize what compassion means, even identifying and pointing out acts of compassion that they witness in the interactions of adults and students in our classroom.\r\n My students were able to partake in a yoga class right before the winter break, using their bolsters on their mats and they were so excited. They loved having additional tools to assist them with their yoga experience. My students use their \"meditation pillows,\" almost daily when sitting in the library.\r\n Your donation has been impactful in the lives of others. Your donation has created a positive circle of love and compassion.
