These students will be able to see how they are learning and progressing throughout the year by using data binders. We are also moving to a new curriculum in science and need extra materials that I don't want the students to have the burden of buying! A lot of the science curriculum is hands on which is a great tool for the kids to learn with their peers through. Observations and notes will be taken in the composition notebooks to help be successful in their learning. A passion for learning is my goal and these supplies will help my students reach that goal. Fifth grade students need hands on learning that gets them interacting with their peers. Interactive notebooks are a great way to dive into the content along with sharing out to the class. Data notebooks help students take ownership and being involved in the learning process rather than receiving the grade and taking it.
