In addition to art making students will learn about several artists and art techniques. They will explore the art library that is set up in our newly formed art studio/classroom and learn about artists, art styles, and art work. We will use these books to inform and inspire us. This library will be used with all grades kindergarten thru fifth. It will reach our avid readers, beginning readers, special needs students, and English language learners. The books I've chosen are rich with pictures and actual works of art. The children will be exposed to the lives of famous artists, their works and styles. I think that this library will open a world of creativity to these deserving children. We will use these books to help us in our own art making.
