My students are craving real connections with people and real books over the apps. These physical books are loved and read and re-read over and over again in the classroom. Often they find their way into a backpack to be loved with others at home as well. Because of this, these beloved engaging stories are torn, ripped, pages fall out, and lost. Add in sanitization process to the books, and most are destroyed. Give these students these beloved books to be re-read again and again and shared with their friends and family. Donors are putting books directly into these students hands to enjoy. They will come in, check these books out, talk with their friends, draw the pictures, and share their love of the content with others. They discover and engage over a book than ever over an app. These books a wonderful addition to our classroom as an open door to the world of possibilities!
