With your help I want to bring Augmented Reality into my classroom. It's with a program called Learning Alive Plus from Alive Studios. It is an augmented reality software that works with letters, phonics, and word building. Augmented reality is basically 3-D without the glasses. So when the students are interacting with the software, the images are coming alive in 3D on the screen for the kids. This sort of tool will provide interactive opportunities to make learning meaningful and fun at the same time. It will provide the needed hands-on experience as well as the interactive technology that increases engagement so the students will be learning while having fun! Using this tool in my classroom will be beneficial because it appeals to my young learners and will help them grow academically, while helping the more advanced learners' fluency and sentence structure. The program is easy to use and lends itself nicely to whole-group and small-group instruction—or even independent activities. Once the students grasp how it works I plan to use it for a center activity to reinforce skills. This kind of technology provides meaningful opportunities for student-led learning that will keep my students engaged and happy. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Thank you!
