The students in my classroom will use our carpet to build a sense of community. They will gain the social skills they need in order to learn from and communicate with each other. This is a skill so many of them struggle with. Our new classroom carpet will provide a cozy place for students to get lost in a good book! In addition to being used to build community, it will be used as a soft place for students to read books on their level. It will also provide the space and opportunity for them to work with other students.
