While in science class, students must be exposed to a variety of theories, facts, and information. At the high school level, these come in the form of scientific texts. Students must read more than the textbook in order to become truly engaged in science. In a world with an excessive amount of information easily available, students must be able to discern between what is necessary and what is superfluous. Exposure to more complex texts in school allows students to decipher a world full of information. We need copy paper so my students will have the opportunity to read complex scientific texts, outside of the course textbook. This paper will be used to print out a multitude of scientific papers, documents, and various texts to prepare learners for a world of information...and misinformation.
